There were some questions:
Question: Why did we shorten the quarantine period?
Answer: We are following CDC recommendations. They are telling people to quarantine for less time because a vast majority of spread occurs in the first 2-3 days after infection?
Question: What if the quarantine ends and there are still symptoms?
Answer: If the quarantine period is over and you still have major symptoms like a fever, stay home. If the symptoms are mild, we will use a COVID test to determine whether you are still contagious?
Question: Why are students allowed to stay on campus after exposure if they are vaccinated?
Answer: The CDC recommends that students and adults who are vaccinated not quarantine unless they start showing symptoms. From my understanding, people who are vaccinated are less likely to catch and spread the infection.
Question: Is there a risk of going back to virtual learning?
Answer: The current recommendation is to keep schools open through this spike. The only reason we might have to go virtual would be if a large portion of our staff caught Omicron at the same time. We would go digital for as long as it took for them to complete their quarantines.
Question: Are there teachers or students on campus who are testing positive?
Answer: We are testing symptomatic students and teachers all the time. If anyone tests positive they are sent home immediately.

Pregunta: ¿Existe el riesgo de volver al aprendizaje virtual?
Respuesta: La recomendación actual es mantener las escuelas abiertas durante este pico. La única razón por la que podríamos tener que volvernos virtuales sería si una gran parte de nuestro personal atrapara a Omicron al mismo tiempo. Nos volveríamos digitales durante el tiempo que les llevara completar sus cuarentenas.
Pregunta: ¿Hay maestros o estudiantes en el campus que estén dando positivo?
Respuesta: Estamos evaluando a estudiantes y maestros sintomáticos todo el tiempo. Si alguien da positivo, es enviado a casa de inmediato.
